To think things couldn’t get any worse… You swiped at your tears, bringing your knees closer to your shaking form. You couldn’t stop crying as much as you wanted to, and it only made things when you stopped your crying to listen to his ruthless words. You wanted to curse him out, never see him again. He had hurt you dearly, but not only that, he had hurt your mother as well. You felt your phone vibrate, and you pulled it out to see one of the few names that could make you smile on a day like this.

‘Hakyeon’.

You carefully slid your finger across the screen and read his message.

‘Hey~ Do you want to go out today? … I know you’d rather not be at home.’

You smiled bitterly and began to type your reply. ‘I’d love to, how did you know today was not my day?’ Your eyes lit up at the tiny bubble at the corner of your screen, signaling his message was soon on the way.

‘Well, let’s just say that I can sense when you’re upset.’ You laughed softly for the first time in a while and slinked over to the closet. It was one thing the way you dressed when you were home and a completely different thing when you wanted to dress up for Hakyeon. Considering that he was your boyfriend, and he was a super star, you didn’t want to embarrass him by dressing like a hobo. You sniffled as you looked at your face in the mirror.

It was puffy and red from the actions that took place a few minutes ago, and you sighed out. “I don’t even know why he stays with me when I look like… This.” You teetered to the bathroom where you picked up your washrag and ran it under the cold sink water. After squeezing it out a bit, you placed it on your eyes, hoping it would reduce the puffiness. Just your luck, it did, and it rid of the blotches that were hindering your looks as well.

You gave off a slight smile and headed back to your room. You reached for your make up bag and dug for your eyeliner and mascara. You applied a little of each and sauntered to your closet. You flung it open and stared at its contents.

You pulled out your pink skirt and a pair of leggings to go underneath, and an over sized sweater to go over. You brushed out your already perfect hair and looked over yourself once more. You sighed out and texted Hakyeon back, ‘Okay, I’m ready! ^^’

~~

You saw Hakyeon waiting for you in the park, residing on the bench. You ran over to him and engulfed him in a hug. “Hakyeon Oppa~!” You smiled and laced your fingers in between his. He smiled softly and squeezed your hand softly. He looked down at you and smiled.

“You’re adorable ______-ah.” He spoke to you in his angelic voice and continued to walk with you through the park. You blushed at his kind words and continued to swing your intertwined hands as you walked.

“You know, _______-ah… I actually have something for you…” Hakyeon looked at you briefly, then pointed his gaze to the ground.

‘Gosh those beautiful dang chocolate eyes…’ You thought to yourself as you peered at them through his bangs. He released your hand to snake it into his pocket and got down on his knee. Hakyeon cleared his throat before sifting his hand through his raven black tresses.

“______-ah, please let me take you away from your horrible father and sister. Live with me, and we’ll be happy.” He sighed out before opening the small box he held in his hand. You gasped and stumbled backwards, taking in the gorgeous silver and gold lined ring. Atop it, was a diamond that shone brightly in the sunlight.

“Oppa…” Your eyes brimmed with tears and you nodded wrapping your arms around him tightly, sobbing happily into his shoulder.

“Saranghae _____-ah. I promise to make you happy every day, and there will never be a day I will let you down. I promise. I’ll take good care of you.”

You sniffled and nodded again. “I believe you. Saranghae, Oppa.”
